We, the directors, are sad to announce that Aquila Partnership (South West) CIC will cease all business and close on 31st December 2015.
The partnership, which formed in 2001, has worked tirelessly over 14 years to raise standards and quality of the social care workforce in the West of England and wider areas.
The severe reduction in local and national government funding had a massive impact on the partnership. Changes were implemented over the last few years so we could develop, expand and create a sustainable income through sales of products and services. Becoming a Community Interest Company (CIC) in 2015 was part of this process.
Furthermore a number of significant and complex applications for funding of new major projects were unsuccessful.
We would like to thank all the organisations, care and training providers over the years who have supported the partnership through engaging with us, attending events such as the conference and countless workshops and being involved in many different projects all to improve the quality and standards of the social care workforce. The success of the partnership is in many ways thanks to all of you who invested time, money and resources to make the partnership work.
